Infrastructure & Endpoint Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold secure network and infrastructure architecture;

• Configure and oversee firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and network segmentation;

• Secure servers, cloud resources, containers, and virtual machines;

• Protect employee workstations and implement security baselines;

• Monitor endpoints and infrastructure for any suspicious activities;

• Gather, analyze, and correlate security logs;

• Identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents;

• Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and remediation;

• Execute system and network hardening;

• Create and present internal security training and awareness sessions;

• Manage and maintain security training platforms and educational content;

• Organize phishing simulations and awareness initiatives;

• Collaborate with IT, DevOps, Infrastructure, and HR teams;

• Complete and review clients' security questionnaires and assessment forms to illustrate the company’s security posture;

• Engage in security and compliance discussions with client information security specialists and stakeholders.

• **Monitoring & Incident Response:**

• - Establish and maintain security monitoring and alert systems;

• - Investigate anomalies and security incidents;

• - Conduct root-cause analysis and post-incident evaluations;

• - Enhance detection, response, and prevention strategies.

• **Security Awareness & Training:**

• - Design and implement security awareness initiatives;

• - Manage training platforms and user enrollments;

• - Track training completion and effectiveness;

• - Continuously refine training materials based on incidents and risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• **Required hard skills:**

• - Profound understanding of network security (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies);

• - Experience in securing infrastructure (on-premises, cloud, hybrid environments);

• - Knowledge of Zero Trust and least-privilege access principles;

• - Experience with endpoint security (EDR, antivirus, disk encryption);

• - OS security expertise: Windows, macOS, Linux;

• - Experience with monitoring and logging systems (endpoints, servers, network traffic);

• - Understanding of authentication, authorization, and IAM;

• - Experience with security hardening and patch management;

• - Familiarity with security awareness and training platforms;

• - Basic scripting abilities (Bash, PowerShell, Python);

• - Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S);

• - Proficient English communication skills.
