This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assist in the formulation and execution of strategies at the regional and state levels to enhance sustainable organizing frameworks in key states, particularly North Carolina, and other areas.

• Develop and strengthen partnerships with organizational collaborators, movement leaders, and community stakeholders in prioritized and emerging regions.

• Seek out opportunities to enhance collaboration, alignment, and shared knowledge among organizations and regional movement networks.

• Aid organizations in improving their member engagement strategies, leadership pathways, and long-term sustainability and powerbuilding initiatives.

• Identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging needs with local and regional partners, and support the creation of responsive strategies to address these challenges.

• Work alongside internal re:power teams to ensure that partner requirements align with the broader organizational strategy.

• Assist in the execution of long-term partnerships in designated partner states.

• Contribute to ongoing data gathering, evaluation, iteration, and enhancement of programs and learning experiences.

• Provide coaching, technical support, and leadership development assistance to partner organizations, their staff, and movement leaders.

• Aid in the cultivation of member and staff leadership development pathways within partner organizations.

• Assist in recruiting and supporting participants for re:power programs, training sessions, and national gatherings, including the biannual Camp re:power.

• Identify and assist in the establishment of localized training resources and leadership frameworks to support long-term organizing efforts in key states and emerging areas.

• Create environments for learning, reflection, growth, and skill development rooted in re:power values and movement sustainability.

• Ensure that all training and learning experiences are centered on participants, inclusive, accessible, and aligned with value-driven facilitation practices.

• Design learning environments that foster engagement, belonging, curiosity, and collective care and accountability.

• Incorporate healing-centered, relational, and trauma-informed approaches into training design and facilitation methods.

• Support systems and practices for gathering participant feedback, reflection, and ongoing improvement.

• Help create learning spaces where individuals from diverse backgrounds can establish trust, enhance skills, and work towards shared objectives together.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of proven experience in community organizing, movement building, civic engagement, or similar social justice initiatives.

• 3-5+ years of experience in supporting leadership development, base building, member engagement, or organizational capacity enhancement efforts.

• Exceptional relationship-building abilities and a proven track record of fostering trust across varied communities, organizations, and stakeholders.

• Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to think strategically while managing multiple projects, adapting to shifting priorities, and addressing evolving partner needs.

• Detail-oriented with excellent project management capabilities.

• Demonstrated commitment to equity, racial justice, healing, and collective liberation.

• Ability to navigate complex situations with emotional intelligence, flexibility, and care.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to travel regularly within designated regions and for national events/programs.
