This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation and execution of regional and state-specific strategies aimed at enhancing sustainable organizing infrastructure across key states (Michigan) and regions.

• Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with organizational allies, movement leaders, and community stakeholders in targeted states and emerging areas.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance collaboration, alignment, and shared learning among organizations and regional movement ecosystems.

• Aid organizations in improving their member engagement strategies, leadership pipelines, and long-term organizing sustainability and power-building initiatives.

• Identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging needs with local state and regional partners, and assist in developing responsive strategies to address them.

• Work in conjunction with internal re:power teams to ensure alignment between partner requirements and the broader organizational strategy.

• Assist in the execution of long-term partner collaborations in designated states.

• Contribute to ongoing data collection, assessment, iterations, and enhancements of programs and learning experiences.

• Offer coaching, technical support, and leadership development to organizational partners, staff, and movement leaders.

• Aid in the creation of leadership development pipelines for members and staff within partner organizations.

• Assist in recruiting and supporting participants for re:power programs, training sessions, and national gatherings, including our biannual Camp re:power.

• Identify and support the establishment of localized training resources and leadership infrastructure that can sustain long-term organizing efforts within key states and emerging regions.

• Create environments conducive to learning, reflection, growth, and skill-building grounded in re:power values and movement sustainability.

• Ensure that all trainings and learning environments are participant-centered, inclusive, accessible, and adhere to values-aligned facilitation practices.

• Design learning settings that foster engagement, belonging, curiosity, and collective care and accountability.

• Incorporate healing-centered, relational, and trauma-informed methodologies into training design and facilitation approaches.

• Support systems and practices that promote participant feedback, reflection, and ongoing improvement.

• Help foster learning environments where individuals from diverse backgrounds can build trust, enhance skills, and work towards common goals collaboratively.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of demonstrated experience in community organizing, movement building, civic engagement, or related social justice initiatives.

• 3-5+ years of experience in supporting leadership development, base-building, member engagement, or organizational capacity-building efforts.

• Strong skills in relationship-building with a proven track record of establishing trust across diverse communities, organizations, and stakeholders.

• Excellent facilitation, coaching, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to think strategically while managing multiple projects, shifting priorities, and evolving partner needs.

• Detail-oriented with outstanding project management skills.

• Demonstrated commitment to equity, racial justice, healing, and collective liberation.

• Ability to navigate complex situations with emotional intelligence, flexibility, and compassion.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to travel regularly within designated regions and for national events/programs.
