Information Security Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for designing and developing technologies and processes that oversee the operation of IT systems to identify suspicious activities.

• Employ innovative thinking to solve problems and uncover opportunities for enhancing security.

• Manage and configure network and computing devices/systems that enforce security policies and IT internal controls.

• Exchange ideas, explore alternatives, and suggest methods to reduce the vulnerability of systems, applications, and processes.

• Oversee vendor and other advisory systems for updates and security notifications.

• Create and execute technical solutions to meet contractual and regulatory obligations.

• Aid in the completion of and responses to both internal and external security assessments and audits.

• Propose, execute, and/or coordinate the application of fixes, patches, and updates.

• Investigate emerging technologies to support security enhancements and development initiatives.

• Offer subject matter expertise and assistance with risk assessments, penetration testing, and cyber-crime response activities.

• Undertake project leadership responsibilities on selected security projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Information Technology (IT), Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related computer science discipline, or equivalent technical work experience.

• A minimum of eight (8) years of practical experience in Information Technology.

• At least five (5) years of experience in Information Security or IT audit.

• Extensive experience in server/network administration, network engineering, and/or application development is preferred.

• Experience demonstrating compliance with HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and/or Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) is desired.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining Azure/Office365 security controls is required.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining a CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) is required.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining Cloud DLP (Data Loss Prevention) controls is preferred.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining security controls for Amazon Web Services is preferred.
