Information Security Coordinator, IS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Establish and implement the Information Security strategy and roadmap.

• Create, uphold, and ensure the adherence to security policies, standards, and procedures.

• Lead risk management efforts, encompassing identification, analysis, treatment, and monitoring.

• Manage customer security questionnaires, audits, and compliance-related inquiries.

• Evaluate the security posture of vendors and third parties.

• Oversee the response to security incidents.

• Assist Engineering teams in adopting secure development practices, vulnerability management, and access controls.

• Foster awareness initiatives and cultivate a robust Information Security culture.

• Track maturity and risk indicators, delivering reports to senior leadership.

• Cultivate relationships with specialized consulting firms and service providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Information Security, ideally within technology or SaaS organizations.

• Proficient understanding of Information Security risk management.

• Proven experience in governing security policies, standards, and procedures.

• Familiarity with audits and customer security questionnaires.

• Experience in assessing the security of vendors and third parties.

• Knowledge in managing security incidents.

• Understanding of Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and data privacy regulations.

• Competence in vulnerability management, access control, and secure development.

• Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and autonomy.

• Effective communication skills with technical, executive, and customer stakeholders.

• Ability to influence and engage various teams.

• Business acumen to effectively balance security, risk, and operational needs.

• Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.

• Consultative approach when collaborating with customers and auditors.

• Leadership and people development capabilities.

• Experience with Information Security certification processes is advantageous.

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

• Prior experience in coordinating or leading teams is beneficial.

• Knowledge of communication and messaging platforms, including the WhatsApp Business API, email, and SMS, is an asset.

• Intermediate or advanced proficiency in English is a plus.
