Information Security Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to our clients in the development, implementation, and assessment of security concepts, often in a project-leading role.

• Perform IT risk assessments and establish, as well as enhance, security standards and processes.

• Proactively recognize client requirements: document, review, and assess processes.

• Create targeted, customized solutions in collaboration with our clients, effectively communicating in their terminology.

• Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of the ISMS at our client locations.

• Enhance risk posture and information security by initiating, coordinating, and monitoring recommended actions — your proactive approach is highly valued by our clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a similar IT qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience in the IT security sector.

• Proven experience in implementing and advancing information security management systems in accordance with ISO 27001 and/or BSI IT-Grundschutz; initial exposure to B3S is preferable.

• Ideally, experience in drafting IT security, emergency, and operational concepts, as well as conducting information security risk assessments based on ISO 27005.

• Initial auditing experience and recognized industry certifications, along with basic project management knowledge (e.g., PRINCE2); experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

• Strong analytical abilities, a capacity to work autonomously and take responsibility in project-leading roles, and a high willingness to travel and commit.

• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in both German and English, coupled with a service-oriented and customer-focused work style.
