Information Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee enterprise infrastructure, examine security incidents, handle vulnerabilities, and provide support for incident response operations.

• Create and refine detection rules for XDR platforms, assess security alerts, coordinate remediation actions, and collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate Threat Modeling into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Contribute to the development of security guidelines, automate operational workflows through scripting, and establish integrations between security platforms utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and APIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical experience in Information Security, Security Operations, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, or similar security fields.

• Hands-on experience with XDR platforms like CrowdStrike Falcon and/or Palo Alto Cortex XDR.

• Proficient in investigating security incidents and creating, tuning, and managing detection rules.

• Practical experience with vulnerability management solutions such as Tenable.io / Tenable.sc or Qualys VMDR, including vulnerability scanning, reporting, and remediation coordination.

• Strong scripting abilities using Python 3.x and/or Bash to automate operational and security functions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux, macOS, and a working understanding of Microsoft Windows administration.

• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals and cloud environments, especially AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.

• Working knowledge of security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and CIS Controls.

• Experience with change management processes, including testing, validation, implementation, and rollback procedures.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) is essential.
