Data and Information Security Analyst (Mid-level)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Safeguard corporate data and information by taking charge of the implementation, management, and enhancement of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Governance solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.

• Implement, manage, and uphold Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across Microsoft 365 environments and corporate devices.

• Configure, assess, and enhance data protection policies utilizing Microsoft Purview.

• Continuously oversee events and alerts pertaining to data protection, performing incident analyses and investigations.

• Recognize and mitigate risks related to the exposure of confidential information.

• Implement and manage sensitivity labels, classification, and document protection policies.

• Oversee retention policies and information lifecycle (Data Lifecycle Management) while supporting Records Management initiatives.

• Assist with eDiscovery, Communication Compliance, and security audits as necessary.

• Manage email protection functionalities using Microsoft Defender for Office 365.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networks, or related disciplines.

• Experience with Microsoft Purview solutions focusing on Data Governance and Data Protection.

• Proven experience in implementing and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.

• Knowledge in the following areas:

• Microsoft Information Protection;

• Sensitivity Labels;

• Classification and labeling policies;

• Data Lifecycle Management;

• Retention policies;

• Records Management;

• eDiscovery;

• Communication Compliance.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365, including:

• Exchange Online Protection (EOP);

• Anti-Spam;

• Anti-Phishing;

• Anti-Malware;

• Safe Links;

• Safe Attachments;

• Threat Explorer;

• Quarantine management.

• Knowledge of email authentication protocols including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

• Familiarity with compliance related to LGPD, GDPR, and data governance best practices.

• Basic to intermediate proficiency with PowerShell (Exchange Online and Microsoft Purview).
