Data and Information Security Analyst – Junior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Serve as a Data and Information Security Analyst, focusing on the technical and consultative aspects of safeguarding sensitive data and information.

• Accountable for the implementation and upkeep of classification, labeling, and protection protocols, as well as Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies and regulatory compliance, ensuring the secure lifecycle of information.

• Collaborate with Microsoft Information Protection, Microsoft Purview, and DLP to identify, classify, and secure sensitive data across various data infrastructures, endpoints, email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.

• Set up DLP policies informed by financial, contractual, and regulatory requirements (LGPD, SOX, PCI-DSS).

• Continuously enhance DLP policies in response to incidents, false positives, and exceptional cases.

• Oversee DLP alerts, conduct analyses, and work alongside incident response teams.

• Assist investigations by providing technical insights and context regarding DLP policies, classification rules, and potential leakage pathways.

• Collaborate closely with Data Stewards.

• Execute mapping, categorization, and classification of critical and sensitive data.

• Establish and uphold OKRs and maturity metrics associated with technical data governance and leakage prevention initiatives.

• Showcase results through dashboards, executive reports, and technical documentation.

• Ensure adherence to standards and regulations such as LGPD, GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001:2022, and NIST.

• Facilitate internal and external audits by providing compliance documentation related to DLP, classification, and governance.

• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns on the secure usage and classification of information.
