This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Under the supervision of the Industry Agreements Manager and/or Senior Industry Agreements Administrator, review, modify, negotiate, and finalize sponsored project agreements funded by industry partners.
• Negotiate contract terms, incorporate relevant conditions, and collaborate with various contracting parties to ensure adherence to policies, ethics, and regulations.
• Consult and collaborate with internal teams and external sponsors to achieve consensus on contract scopes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage in training initiatives and contribute to policy and compliance guidance in alignment with OHSU standards.
• Remain updated on OHSU, RDA, and OPAM policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree and two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
• An Associate’s degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology and two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
• Four years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must possess or acquire within 6 months of hire OHSU signature authority for the specified contract type within portfolio.
• Ability to apply professional judgment, take initiative, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to establish and sustain effective and collaborative working relationships while maintaining a high degree of professionalism when interacting with OHSU faculty, staff, and external funding agencies.
• Proven excellent analytical skills with the capability to comprehend and synthesize contract guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Outstanding communication skills as evidenced by the ability to convey, explain, and uphold regulatory requirements and contract language to administrative and investigator clients within the OHSU research community.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks with a focus on tracking for quick status updates.
• Capability to adapt to new or modified electronic systems and processes, even in the absence of established procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately understand and interpret medical and scientific terminology, concepts, and methodologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of budgeting principles and procedures.
• Ability to exercise diplomacy and manage highly confidential matters with discretion.
• Two years of experience in federal and/or industry contract review and coordination.
