Industrial Designer, 3D Modeling Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop production-ready 3D models in STEP, STL, and native CAD formats suitable for prototyping and manufacturing.

• Generate photorealistic renders and visual materials for clients and stakeholders.

• Create industrial designs that balance aesthetics, ergonomics, durability, and manufacturability.

• Enhance enclosures and form factors for complex multi-radio and portable electronic devices.

• Produce clear design documentation and feedback to facilitate product improvements through iterations.

• Assist with 3D-printed prototypes and prepare designs for injection-molded production.

• Transform concepts from rough sketches or existing models into production-ready files.

• Design physical product experiences considering appropriate shape, weight, and detailing.

• Collaborate asynchronously as an independent contractor within Parcero’s digital systems and product development processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated industrial design experience in consumer electronics, handheld devices, and portable products.

• Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, Blender, or similar tools.

• Capability to produce high-quality photorealistic 3D renders.

• Strong knowledge of ergonomics, form factor, grip, button placement, and human factors.

• Experience in designing for manufacturability, including injection molding, tolerances, materials, and DFM.

• Comfort with multi-component assemblies, such as enclosures, antennas, batteries, PCBs, and screens.

• Ability to take a concept from a rough sketch or existing model through to production-ready files.

• A portfolio showcasing rugged, outdoor, or portable electronic products is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with mesh networking devices, radio form factors, walkie-talkies, or mobile phone industrial design is a plus.

• A background in industrial engineering or mechanical design is a benefit.

• Ability to work asynchronously and overlap at least 8 hours with São Paulo, Brazil.

• Status as an independent contractor.

• Willingness to operate without a guaranteed paycheck or traditional employment security.
