Independent Sales Representative – Public Safety AI Radio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Conduct visits to firehouses, police stations, and public safety organizations to present Mermaid AI.

• Execute live, in-person demonstrations of our AI-driven radio solution.

• Establish and nurture relationships with chiefs, officers, and municipal leaders.

• Recognize opportunities and guide deals through the complete sales process.

• Participate in regional events, training sessions, and industry gatherings.

• Serve as the representative of Mermaid AI in your assigned territory.

• Offer practical insights to influence product development.

• Highly motivated individual capable of succeeding without a base salary.

• At ease with starting conversations in firehouses or police departments.

• Excellent communication abilities with a knack for translating technical advancements into tangible benefits.

• Well-organized and disciplined in overseeing an independent sales pipeline.

• Enthusiastic about promoting a novel category of AI technology.

• Preferred but not mandatory: experience in public safety, radio communications, RF, telecommunications, government, or municipal sales.

• Preferred but not mandatory: background in in-person, field-based sales.

• Preferred but not mandatory: knowledge of how public agencies assess and acquire equipment.

• Willingness to travel regionally or nationally.

• 1099 contractor arrangement.
