Independent Property Field Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Efficiently and promptly handle all assigned claims with minimal supervision.

• Make claim decisions within the authority granted according to company and carrier guidelines.

• Accurately analyze policy coverages and apply the appropriate claims procedures.

• Set and communicate reserves in accordance with carrier expectations.

• Keep current with insurance policies, guidelines, and industry standards.

• Have a solid understanding of local construction techniques, pricing, and repair standards.

• Submit additional reports as necessary (e.g., severe incident reports, ITV reports).

• Deliver outstanding customer service to all insured parties, clients, and stakeholders.

• Uphold high standards of professional conduct in all assignments.

• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in handling property claims.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience using Xactimate and Symbility estimating software.

• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, practices, and procedures.

• General construction knowledge is strongly preferred.
