This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Provide individualized instruction through live online sessions.

• Foster a learning atmosphere that is neuroaffirming, strengths-oriented, and enjoyable for every student.

• Assess learner strengths and challenges using both informal and formal methods.

• Utilize various resources and curricula to create and execute comprehensive year-long learning strategies and daily lesson plans tailored to your assigned students, ensuring they are individualized, neuroaffirming, strengths-based, evidence-based, technology-enhanced, and aligned with measurable educational objectives.

• Prepare written progress reports, both formal and informal, utilizing assistive technology when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with school-aged children who have diagnosed or suspected learning differences.

• Background in strengths-based, neuroaffirming educational settings, and/or a demonstrated willingness and capability to swiftly adapt to this type of environment.

• Expertise in employing structured, systematic, and explicit teaching methodologies.

• Experience in instructing literacy concepts through a structured literacy/Science of Reading framework, focusing on math for conceptual understanding, and providing support for executive functioning, sensory processing, or social-emotional learning.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with or without the use of assistive technology.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Demonstrated dedication to our charitable mission.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently.

• Ability to provide a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
