Incentive Compensation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage compensation plans for AlphaSense’s revenue team, which includes Sales and Customer Success divisions.

• Calculate, prepare, and analyze quarterly commission payments.

• Distribute and monitor compensation plan sign-offs from revenue staff.

• Assist in monthly commission accruals and reconciliations for Accounting and FP&A.

• Respond to commissions-related inquiries from revenue and revenue management teams.

• Document approvals and prepare support materials for pay adjustments.

• Aid in formulating policies and procedures for adjustments.

• Create, maintain, and update reporting tools for commissions.

• Develop documentation for processes related to commissions.

• Lead enhancements in processes and systems, conducting UAT for annual changes to the compensation plan.

• Provide support across functions for commissions-related questions and requests.

• Undertake ad hoc projects and requests as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in variable compensation, including commission planning and administration.

• Exceptional Microsoft Excel proficiency.

• A strong enthusiasm for emerging technologies.

• Experience with QuotaPath or comparable compensation tools is preferred.

• Familiarity with CRM/HRIS platforms such as Salesforce and Workday is preferred.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Knowledge of commission accounting principles, including accruals, payments, and their impact on P&L.

• Capability to work autonomously and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.

• Drive to collaborate across functions and assist various business partners.

• A BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, or another quantitative discipline is preferred.
