This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Puerto Rico.
• Articulate immigration concepts and offer strategic solutions
• Advocate for both non-detained and detained individuals during removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
• Oversee a caseload of cases
• Conduct visits and intake interviews with detained individuals at centers
• Prepare a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
• Review immigration applications and packets, making necessary modifications
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law
• Meet with prospective clients for strategic immigration consultations and develop necessary strategies
• Formulate strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony
• Provide legal analysis to clients to identify potential benefits for their cases
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law
• A collaborative team player who is willing to assist, strategize, and work alongside fellow associates
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not mandatory
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload effectively
• Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian applications, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
• Experience with case management software is preferred
