This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Delivers educational programs and training for all types of emergency care professionals.

• Assumes a leadership position in course creation by evaluating, planning, executing, and assessing classroom, lab, clinical, and online instruction.

• Exhibits characteristics of a professional educator: self-driven, proficient communicator, adept time manager, collaborative team member, organized, knowledgeable, well-prepared, confident, respectful, and an advocate for students.

• Oversees the development of EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, and/or AHA courses in accordance with the guidelines and curricula established by state and/or relevant national organizations.

• Actively engages learners and delivers timely and constructive feedback.

• Provides mentorship and guidance to novice instructors.

• Teaches at least one of the American Heart Association courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS).

• Conducts classes at various times and locations using diverse formats based on student needs: daytime or evening sessions, on the main campus, mobile simulation lab, or at students' workplaces.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must have graduated from a university or community college with a degree or certificate in an Emergency Care discipline (e.g., EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO, MD, Law Enforcement).

• If RN, a BSN is preferred or enrollment in a BSN program is necessary.

• A minimum of two years of experience in providing Emergency Care at a licensed level in the state of Wisconsin.

• Required certification relevant to the training assigned (e.g., State of Wisconsin or Illinois Licensed Emergency Care Provider, or other applicable certifications such as EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, DO, or MD).

• Preferred to be a State of Wisconsin or Illinois Certified EMS Instructor II or actively pursuing completion of this certification.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) must be obtained within three (3) months.

• Must become a certified American Heart Association Instructor in at least one level (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within one year.
