This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Support the imaging process of immunofluorescent slides utilizing the high-throughput ZEISS Axioscan 7 Microscope Slide Scanner.
β’ Manually modify imaging areas and incorporate focus points to guarantee premium quality scans.
β’ Conduct Quality Control (QC) evaluations post-scanning by examining each image file for focus precision and documenting any tissue-related concerns following our internal guidelines.
β’ If any slide does not pass QC, initiate rescans to ensure all slides adhere to our quality benchmarks.
β’ Maintain exceptional attention to detail, upholding high standards even during repetitive tasks.
β’ Prepare scans to operate overnight, ensuring all configurations are correctly set before signing off.
β’ Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or masterβs student (no specific field of study required).
β’ Previous experience in imaging or histology is not necessary.
β’ Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
β’ Capability to work autonomously and avoid shortcuts, even during repetitive tasks.
β’ Availability for evening shifts, particularly on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to set up and run overnight scans, as well as mornings to complete QC before new scans can be initiated. Flexibility for weekday evening shifts after 5 PM is also required.
