IDR Arbitrator, Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Mediate and resolve payment disputes.

• Identify jurisdictional matters when necessary.

• Examine dispute-related information and request additional details as permitted and needed.

• Decide whether the initiating or non-initiating party will receive the arbitration ruling.

• Maintain impartiality while evaluating submitted documents.

• Compose clear determinations within specified deadlines.

• Analyze cases, condense facts, and evaluate issues.

• Work collaboratively with technical and legal experts to arrive at suitable decisions.

• Investigate jurisdictional and substantive matters using federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to the No Surprises Act of 2020 and the Federal Independent Dispute Resolution Entity program.

• Interpret relevant regulations and policies concerning jurisdiction and the merits of cases.

• Clearly convey determinations in written form.

• Apply independent judgment to ensure that determinations are precise, substantiated, and defensible.

• Draft, revise, and review determination decisions.

• Carry out additional tasks assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctorate is preferred.

• Certification in Arbitration is preferred; must be obtained within the year.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven work environment.

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to function both as a team player and independently.

• Experience utilizing SharePoint, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Flexibility for varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.

• Capacity to sit, read, work on a computer, and view a screen for extended durations.

• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, kneel, or crouch.
