ICT Designer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the production of engineering deliverables for Low Voltage Systems (ICT, Security, A/V) (75%)

• Support the creation of BIM / CAD deliverables, including Revit models and AutoCAD drawings, to meet project design requirements

• Execute intermediate design tasks under the guidance of a senior engineer

• Provide project delivery support to the team, including managing electronic documents and BIM models as necessary for project submissions and deliverable completion

• Collaborate with other technical leads (MEP, BAS, EPMS, ICT) to ensure coordination across multiple disciplines

• Successfully complete assigned BIM / CAD production tasks within budget and deadlines set by the project team

• Assist in Pre-Construction Activities (10%)

• Conduct surveys of existing building conditions and prepare technical reports on findings

• Gather data and other information for construction documentation

• Prepare project design and construction documents

• Perform basic editing and writing of project specifications

• Assist in Construction Activities (15%)

• Work collaboratively with the engineering team and closely interact with the project management team

• Review shop drawings and submittals

• Evaluate and respond to RFIs

• Review and finalize punch lists and project closeout documents

• Prepare project progress reports for both internal and external stakeholders

• Update and maintain shop drawing and RFI logs

• Ensure the timely and budget-compliant completion of assigned tasks and deliverables

• Perform other related duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, construction, or a related field OR a minimum of five years of experience in producing construction documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD with an emphasis on low voltage design

• At least one additional year of experience in producing construction documents with a focus on low voltage design using Revit and/or AutoCAD

• Knowledge of networking systems (copper and fiber optic), cabling, and components

• Familiarity with Audio Visual (AV), Access Control, and CCTV systems and components

• Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit Computer Aided Design tools

• Skilled in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), with exceptional organizational skills for file management

• Capable of completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail

• Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, streamline operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation

• Ability to adhere to company and site safety protocols

• Capacity to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence

• Strong communication skills in both oral and written formats (technical and non-technical information)

• Ability to effectively communicate directly with clients and occasionally serve as the primary point of contact

• Proven ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently with moderate supervision

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proven ability to operate effectively in a remote environment through strong communication, organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace

• Ability to collaborate in interdepartmental groups
