Founding Designer – Code-First

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Establish and develop our design system in code, utilizing shadcn/ui as the base — including tokens, variants, modes, responsive behavior, and accessibility.

• Directly prototype in code with AI support (Claude), ensuring that your designs are immediately implementable and integrated into the codebase.

• Design the complete product interface — from the 3D canvas and viewport controls to property panels, dashboards, and onboarding experiences.

• Take ownership of iconography and illustrations: either create our icon set and product visuals yourself or guide freelancers to achieve a cohesive, high-quality visual style.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, where 'handoff' primarily involves a code review rather than a translation process.

• Influence the brand and marketing landscape as the company expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in coding (HTML/CSS/React) and comfortable utilizing tools like Claude or similar to transform concepts into functional UIs.

• Experienced in designing for 3D, spatial, or canvas-based applications — through a shipped tool, a substantial side project, or extensive use of Blender, Rhino, SketchUp, Cinema 4D, Spline, or a game engine.

• Knowledgeable about viewport controls, gizmos, camera behavior, and the intersection of 2D UI with live 3D environments.

• Familiar with shadcn/ui and understand how its tokens, variants, and primitives come together.

• Possess a keen eye for icons and illustrations — capable of producing this work or guiding freelancers to achieve a consistent outcome, with a clear vision of quality.

• Design with light/dark mode and responsiveness in mind from the outset, not as an afterthought.
