ICC Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct on-site evaluations to ensure compliance with ICC codes (IBC, IRC, IPC, IMC, IFC).

• Assess structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in both residential and commercial properties.

• Examine construction documents, permits, and engineering reports to confirm compliance with regulatory standards.

• Detect code violations, record findings, and suggest corrective actions.

• Create comprehensive reports utilizing GreenWorks’ inspection software and mobile tools.

• Engage in effective communication with builders, contractors, engineers, and city officials concerning compliance matters.

• Keep current with updates to ICC codes, state regulations, and GreenWorks inspection protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active ICC certification(s) are mandatory (e.g., Residential/Commercial Building Inspector, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical).

• Previous experience in construction, building inspections, or engineering is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Texas building codes, local ordinances, and safety regulations.

• Exceptional report writing and digital documentation abilities.

• Capability to work independently and manage flexible inspection schedules.

• Reliable transportation for traveling to various job sites in the region.

• Must possess liability insurance as an independent contractor.

• Must be able to pass a background check (if required by clients).
