This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Hydro Services Manager is part of the West Service Hub at GE Vernova Hydro North America.
• This role involves identifying, responding to, and managing the service requirements of Hydro Power Plant owners within the hub's geographical area.
• During the bidding phase of a project, the manager will lead the technical and commercial proposal process, collaborating with the hub engineer, Quality team, field operation representative, and sourcing representative.
• In the project phase, serve as the project manager and primary point of contact for the customer.
• Collaborate with the sales manager and Services regional leader to contribute to the commercial strategy aimed at enhancing Services activities.
• Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand customer needs, proactively identify issues, and advocate for suitable technical solutions.
• Deliver commercial and technical service proposals with the assistance of the Services regional team.
• Act as the project manager to ensure the successful execution of service jobs, adhering to timelines, quality standards, and cost commitments.
• Foster strong relationships with GE Vernova clients, showcasing success in job execution.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in mechanical or electrical engineering or business administration.
• At least 7 years of professional experience, including project management for small-scale or fast-track projects and service projects.
• Experience in the rotating machines industry.
• Background in customer negotiations.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Hydro Power Plants approximately 30% of the time.
• Experience in a commercial role or in developing commercial proposals.
• Engineering or field operation experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Hydro customers in the region is a plus.
