HVAC Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services on all standard package and split unit HVAC systems.

• Perform general repairs on steam and hot water boiler systems.

• Utilize refrigerants safely, efficiently, and in compliance with EPA regulations while supporting standard package and split unit HVAC systems.

• Accurately diagnose and repair common mechanical, electrical, or system failure issues on standard boilers, package, and split unit HVAC systems.

• Carry out minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems.

• Execute routine painting, carpentry work, and other tasks as needed to keep our Client’s facilities in excellent condition.

• Undertake minor electrical maintenance as permitted by state law requirements.

• Complete service and asset inspections as required.

• Effectively leverage technology to access and finalize work orders, including notes on services rendered.

• Maintain prompt and consistent communication with customers and internal support teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care is preferred.

• Possession of a certified 2-year HVAC technical certificate or a state-approved HVAC license.

• A minimum of 5 years of HVAC/General Maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, is required; or a comparable combination of training, education, and experience.

• Experience in HVAC systems/equipment in industrial or commercial settings as required by the scope of work.

• Must hold applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license in good standing.

• Must have an EPA Universal Refrigeration License.

• Ability to read and understand instructions, including safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Proficiency in effectively presenting information in both individual and small group settings.
