HVAC Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Conducts maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.

• Installs and repairs systems related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.

• Installs new units or replaces parts for existing units in accordance with specifications and established safety standards.

• Utilizes experience and judgment to strategically plan and achieve goals.

• Handles a variety of complex tasks.

• May oversee and guide the work of others.

• Generally reports to a supervisor or manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Freon certification is required.

• C.E. in HVAC is necessary.

• Knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and installation and servicing techniques for peripheral equipment is generally required.

• Strong interpersonal skills to represent BJU in an ethical and professional manner effectively.

• Ability to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Leadership capabilities to assist Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment at job sites.

• A significant degree of creativity and autonomy is expected.

• Familiarity with a range of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field is preferred.

• Professional appearance and presentation are essential.

• Proficient in oral and written communication.

• PC experience is required, along with the ability to program HVAC-related software.
