This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
β’ Conducts maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
β’ Installs and repairs systems related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
β’ Installs new units or replaces parts for existing units in accordance with specifications and established safety standards.
β’ Utilizes experience and judgment to strategically plan and achieve goals.
β’ Handles a variety of complex tasks.
β’ May oversee and guide the work of others.
β’ Generally reports to a supervisor or manager.
β’ Freon certification is required.
β’ C.E. in HVAC is necessary.
β’ Knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and installation and servicing techniques for peripheral equipment is generally required.
β’ Strong interpersonal skills to represent BJU in an ethical and professional manner effectively.
β’ Ability to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Leadership capabilities to assist Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment at job sites.
β’ A significant degree of creativity and autonomy is expected.
β’ Familiarity with a range of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field is preferred.
β’ Professional appearance and presentation are essential.
β’ Proficient in oral and written communication.
β’ PC experience is required, along with the ability to program HVAC-related software.
