Hungarian to English OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Respond to incoming calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Have a solid understanding of the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide updates to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English as the source language and a native speaker of "Hungarian" as the target language.

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications within the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• A high school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
