Hungarian OPI/VRI Interpreters

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls with professionalism, adhering to the Interpreter's ethical guidelines.

• Always be ready to take notes during conversations.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Deliver all messages with precision and completeness, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Uphold the highest standards of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Implement professional standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional development training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English as the source language and a native speaker of Hungarian as the target language.

• Over 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is advantageous.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
