HRIS Technology Consultant, Workday

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver end-user assistance for resolving HRIS-specific issues.

• Conduct analysis, gather requirements, configure, test, and migrate changes from demo to production across various functional areas of the HRIS.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), senior leaders, business unit specialists, and other HR functions to enhance, configure, and develop business processes, security settings, report setups—both basic and advanced—and final configurations to fulfill the HRIS needs of the organization and enhance employee experience.

• Evaluate and test software updates from vendors.

• Assess new software features to support corporate strategies and ensure alignment with our requirements.

• Serve as the HRIS SME and implementer for enterprise-wide or cross-functional initiatives, including mergers/acquisitions and other sensitive projects.

• Introduce new features of the HRIS software to adapt to evolving business needs.

• Offer expert advice to the business regarding changes resulting from software updates.

• Collaborate with IT personnel on the implications of configuration/data changes on IT databases and other IT-managed systems.

• Develop and maintain job aids designed to assist end users with self-service functionalities within the system.

• Keep abreast of new functionalities and offerings from vendors, as well as trends in HRIS technology.

• Spearhead system optimization and enhancement initiatives by working with HR department leaders to identify automation prospects, improve user experience, and create strategic roadmaps that align HRIS capabilities with business goals.

• Provide governance and oversight of the HRIS, including data management and security.

• Ensure processes and technology are aligned to support organizational objectives.

• Train and mentor less experienced team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience as an HRIS consultant is required.

• Experience with Workday is preferred.

• Proficiency in seven or more of the following HRIS functional areas: HCM (e.g., Staffing/Jobs/Organizations, Time off and Leave, Worker data, Onboarding), Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Performance, Recruiting, Payroll, Security, Integrations, Reporting.

• Strong consulting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to communicate intricate ideas/information related to systems.

• Proven experience in delivering positive, proactive communications.

• A solid understanding of cloud-based software concepts and business process modeling.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, logically, tactfully, and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Experience with agile methodologies in project management.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

• Advanced Excel skills are preferred.
