This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Develop and manage the people function for the team in India.
β’ Collaborate with hiring managers to outline roles and oversee sourcing, screening, and interview scheduling.
β’ Conduct background checks, prepare and dispatch offer letters, negotiate with candidates, and monitor hiring documentation.
β’ Manage the complete new hire experience during their first 90 days.
β’ Organize access provisioning, equipment setup, and ensure completion of HIPAA, data security, and acceptable use training.
β’ Gather and maintain employee documentation and records.
β’ Conduct structured 30/60/90-day check-ins and communicate feedback to managers.
β’ Design and implement engagement activities such as pulse checks, skip-level meetings, stay conversations, and exit interviews.
β’ Oversee India-specific holidays, leave, attendance, and related processes and policies.
β’ Create and implement leave, appraisal and salary band, behavioral, and conduct policies.
β’ Assist managers with documentation, performance discussions, and corrective action processes.
β’ Manage monthly payroll, address discrepancies and adjustments, and process offboarding and final settlements.
β’ Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory deadlines.
β’ Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll data, ensuring it is organized and ready for audits.
β’ Collaborate closely with RCM Operations leaders and the US People lead.
β’ 3 to 5 years of experience in HR operations, people operations, or HR generalist roles supporting an India-based team.
β’ Practical experience in payroll and onboarding processes.
β’ Familiarity with Indian labor laws and statutory compliance, including EPF, ESI, tax withholding, and the Shops and Establishments Act.
β’ Experience in creating HR processes or policies from the ground up.
β’ Strong attention to detail regarding numerical and compliance-related data.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
β’ Capability to handle sensitive discussions with discretion.
β’ Proficient in HRIS and payroll platforms; experience with Deel is highly preferred.
β’ Proficient in Excel/Sheets and documentation tools such as Notion, Google Drive, and Linear.
β’ Availability to overlap with US Eastern hours for part of the day.
β’ Experience supporting a remote or distributed team managed from the US is a plus.
β’ Background in healthcare, RCM, or BPO/KPO operations is advantageous.
β’ Familiarity with recruiting and screening tools like Ashby, Checkr, or similar is a plus.
β’ Experience in conducting engagement surveys or developing an onboarding program from scratch is a plus.
