This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.
β’ Take charge of the operational HR calendar, which includes probation reviews, contract renewals, and regular employee lifecycle touchpoints.
β’ Oversee the entire onboarding process, ensuring each new hire has a seamless and welcoming introduction from the offer letter through their first week.
β’ Manage offboarding procedures with attention: conducting exit interviews, completing necessary documentation, and ensuring a respectful conclusion to the employment relationship.
β’ Serve as the primary resource for daily employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, leave, and HR processes, addressing them promptly and escalating issues when necessary.
β’ Prepare HR documentation, including contracts, amendments, offer letters, and official correspondence.
β’ Take responsibility for BambooHR (or a similar HRIS), ensuring that all employee records are thorough, accurate, and up to date.
β’ Develop and generate regular HR reports that include headcount, turnover, absence, and various people metrics.
β’ Utilize data to identify trends and provide valuable insights to the Head of HR and the broader team.
β’ Promote consistent and disciplined utilization of HR systems throughout the team.
β’ Assist the Head of HR in managing employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management processes.
β’ Employ a working knowledge of Maltese employment law to ensure that HR practices and documentation remain compliant.
β’ Monitor potential compliance risks and raise them at the earliest opportunity.
β’ Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to guarantee a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
β’ Oversee the offer and pre-onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition from candidate to new employee.
β’ Aid in the planning and execution of engagement initiatives, internal events, and recognition moments.
β’ 3 to 5 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR operations role.
β’ Solid understanding of Maltese employment law.
β’ Familiarity with an HRIS such as BambooHR or equivalent.
β’ Genuinely friendly and approachable, possessing strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage sensitive discussions with care and confidentiality.
β’ Highly organized, capable of juggling multiple workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail.
β’ Comfortable working with HR data and metrics, using them to gain insights into current situations and areas for improvement.
β’ A practical problem-solver who enjoys taking initiative and driving progress.
