This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee a team of HR professionals responsible for HR operations, employee support, and compliance activities.

• Offer coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to HR team members.

• Create and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Provide guidance to leadership on employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and workforce management.

• Act as the subject matter expert regarding Service Contract Act compliance.

• Manage SCA wage determinations, health and welfare benefits, and fringe benefit requirements.

• Ensure adherence to contract-specific labor requirements and relevant federal regulations.

• Collaborate with Growth and Talent Acquisition teams on workforce planning initiatives.

• Align labor categories with the SCA Directory of Occupations and offer pricing and compliance support during proposal development.

• Assist with contract transitions, mobilizations, and workforce onboarding processes.

• Lead workplace investigations, performance management, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and coaching for managers.

• Oversee onboarding, promotions, transfers, and separations while ensuring accurate HR record-keeping.

• Coordinate new hire orientation, policy reviews, benefits enrollment, compliance training, and introductions to company culture.

• Manage employee benefits, leave administration, HR compliance, audits, reporting, and risk management activities.

• Keep track of employment legislation and implement compliance strategies.

• Support OSHA compliance programs, including safety training, incident reporting, recordkeeping, and regulatory coordination.

• Provide consistent HR guidance and foster employee engagement initiatives across a nationwide workforce.

• Collaborate with operational leaders to enhance communication and compliance across different contracts and locations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources within the HR department of a small to mid-tier federal government contractor as an overhead, non-billable employee.

• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience managing Service Contract Act (SCA) contracts.

• Experience with SCA compliance, Wage Determinations, Health & Welfare benefits administration, labor category mapping, and workforce planning.

• A minimum of 5 years of people management experience leading an HR team of two or more employees.

• Proven experience in managing employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, regulatory compliance, and employee lifecycle management.

• Experience supporting employees in multiple states and locations within a virtual environment.

• Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws.

• Willingness to travel throughout the United States approximately 15% of the time.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information and be able to secure a government-granted security clearance.

• Preferred: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.

• Preferred: residing within a two-hour commuting radius of Northern Virginia.

• Preferred: experience with Rippling or similar HRIS platforms.

• Preferred: experience in supporting rapid organizational growth and contract transitions.

• Preferred: experience collaborating with Business Development, Capture, and Proposal teams.

• Preferred: familiarity with government contracting regulations and workforce compliance requirements.
