This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
β’ Oversee the management of employee leaves of absence for clients, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, state-specific leave programs, military leave, and company-sponsored leaves.
β’ Act as the main point of contact for employees, managers, and clients concerning leave eligibility, procedures, and timelines.
β’ Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations.
β’ Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and external leave vendors.
β’ Maintain and organize leave documentation within the leave management system.
β’ Provide prompt notices, approvals, denials, and communications regarding return-to-work processes.
β’ Assist with the ADA interactive process and facilitate reasonable accommodations.
β’ Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and medical information.
β’ Generate reports and metrics relating to leave activities as required.
β’ Keep abreast of updates to leave laws and regulations.
β’ Collaborate with the HR Business Partner to assist clients with employee relations issues, employee handbooks, and assessments as necessary.
β’ An Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area (or equivalent experience).
β’ A minimum of two years of experience in managing leaves of absence.
β’ In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and relevant state leave laws.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of federal and state employment legislation.
β’ Familiarity with HRIS and leave management systems.
β’ Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
