This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Oversee the management of employee leaves of absence for clients, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, state-specific leave programs, military leave, and company-sponsored leaves.
• Act as the main point of contact for employees, managers, and clients concerning leave eligibility, procedures, and timelines.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and external leave vendors.
• Maintain and organize leave documentation within the leave management system.
• Provide prompt notices, approvals, denials, and communications regarding return-to-work processes.
• Assist with the ADA interactive process and facilitate reasonable accommodations.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and medical information.
• Generate reports and metrics relating to leave activities as required.
• Keep abreast of updates to leave laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with the HR Business Partner to assist clients with employee relations issues, employee handbooks, and assessments as necessary.
• An Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of two years of experience in managing leaves of absence.
• In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and relevant state leave laws.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state employment legislation.
• Familiarity with HRIS and leave management systems.
