This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Assess the impact of various compilers and optimization techniques on the performance of HPC applications.
• Determine how both the compiler and runtime can enhance the performance of essential HPC applications on CPU and CPU/GPU systems.
• Convey the limitations of compiler functions to application engineering teams.
• Adapt HPC applications for different platforms and programming paradigms.
• Analyze the influence of NVHPC package components, device drivers, and system configurations on application performance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Over 5 years of programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of Fortran, C, C++, and programming methodologies, particularly for parallel architectures, preferably in relation to compilers.
• Familiarity with OpenACC, OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, and Standard Language Parallelism.
• Proficient in performance analysis and optimization.
• Solid mathematical background, including linear algebra and numerical methods.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
