HPC Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and upkeep of both InfiniBand and Ethernet network infrastructures.

• Aid in diagnosing network problems, including issues related to connectivity, latency, and performance decline.

• Observe network health and performance through standard monitoring tools and help pinpoint bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to work with InfiniBand technologies such as switches, HCAs, and subnet managers.

• Support the management and troubleshooting of Fortinet solutions, including FortiGate, VPNs, and firewall configurations.

• Help implement network setups, routing, and segmentation.

• Work together with compute and storage teams to facilitate HPC and AI workloads.

• Engage in incident response and operational support tasks.

• Contribute to the documentation of network setups and procedures.

• Acquire knowledge and embrace automation tools and methodologies (e.g., Ansible, scripting).

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in networking, systems engineering, or infrastructure-related roles.

• Fundamental understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs).

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.

• Experience in data center networking or distributed systems environments.

• Strong eagerness to learn and develop skills in InfiniBand and HPC networking.
