HPC Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and upkeep of InfiniBand and Ethernet network systems.

• Aid in diagnosing network problems, including issues related to connectivity, latency, and performance decline.

• Oversee network health and performance using standard monitoring tools and help identify any bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with senior engineers on InfiniBand technologies (switches, HCAs, subnet managers).

• Support the management and troubleshooting of Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, VPNs, firewall configurations).

• Aid in the implementation of network settings, routing, and segmentation.

• Work together with compute and storage teams to facilitate HPC and AI workloads.

• Engage in incident response and operational support tasks.

• Contribute to the documentation of network configurations and operational procedures.

• Learn and embrace automation tools and methodologies (e.g., Ansible, scripting).

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in networking, systems engineering, or infrastructure positions.

• Fundamental knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs).

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line utilities.

• Experience with data center networking or distributed systems settings.

• A strong desire to learn and develop expertise in InfiniBand and HPC networking.
