Housing Development Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, web services, file-based interfaces, and reports according to specified requirements.

• Gather and analyze requirements effectively.

• Design functional and technical aspects of system modifications when necessary.

• Create systems that adhere to specifications using structured methodologies.

• Conduct system and integration testing.

• Document the source control and release processes.

• Provide support and maintenance for systems in live operation.

• Navigate development projects through the entire lifecycle, from requirements gathering and specification writing to assisting with user acceptance testing and deployment.

• Assist fellow team members with their project and enhancement obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Unix environment shell scripting.

• Proficient in SQLplus.

• Extensive PL/SQL development experience.

• Capability to translate business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical specifications.

• Experience in producing clear and concise documentation.

• Knowledge and experience in relational database design.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, users, and other IT personnel.

• Apex & Java expertise (Desirable).

• Familiarity with at least one Northgate Housing module (Desirable).

• Experience in managing projects or change requests from initiation to completion with minimal supervision, including gathering requirements from both internal and external users, analyzing collected data, and translating user needs into suitable IT solutions (Desirable).

• Capability to work independently while also supporting team members and being a collaborative team player (Desirable).

• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally (Desirable).
