Housing Development Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, web services, file-based interfaces, and reports according to established specifications.

• Conduct requirements gathering and analysis.

• Create functional and technical designs for system modifications when necessary.

• Develop systems in line with specifications using structured methodologies.

• Perform system and integration testing.

• Document source control and release processes.

• Provide support and maintenance for systems in live operation.

• Manage development projects through the entire lifecycle, from requirements gathering and specification writing to assisting with user acceptance testing and deployment.

• Assist fellow team members with their project and enhancement responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Unix environment shell scripting.

• Skilled in SQLplus.

• Extensive experience in PL/SQL development.

• Ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical specifications.

• Experience in creating clear documentation.

• Knowledge and practical experience in relational database design.

• Strong interpersonal skills; must effectively communicate with management, users, and other IT personnel.

• Expertise in Apex & Java (Desirable).

• Familiarity with at least one Northgate Housing module (Desirable).

• Experience managing projects or change requests from initiation to completion with minimal supervision, involving requirement gathering from both internal and external users, as well as analyzing collected data and converting user needs into suitable IT solutions (Desirable).

• Capable of working independently while also being a collaborative team player (Desirable).

• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally (Desirable).
