Housekeeping Supervisor – Russian Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Oversee the cleaning and upkeep of guest and crew accommodations, along with all designated public areas.

• Facilitate crew orientation, briefings, work planning, and task assignment.

• Effectively communicate and utilize practical coaching methods to inspire and develop staff.

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate the performance of subordinate team members.

• Strategically plan and manage staffing schedules, equipment, and supply needs for the assigned section, ensuring accountability for cost control, quality standards, utilization, and employee performance.

• Ensure continuous training, competency, and proficiency of assigned personnel.

• Enforce compliance with company grooming and appearance standards.

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations to guarantee consistent service delivery in guest rooms, crew areas, and public spaces.

• Address and resolve guest complaints when necessary, ensuring prompt and professional service recovery.

• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, crew accommodations, and public areas to verify adherence to company standards.

• Organize and coordinate special cleaning initiatives, including carpet shampooing, deep cleaning, and general cleaning projects.

• Maintain housekeeping supply inventories at approved levels and submit supply requests to the Housekeeping Storekeeper as needed.

• Report all identified maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms, crew areas, and public spaces promptly.

• Implement cost-effective and environmentally responsible working practices consistently.

• Monitor and manage work hours and rest periods for subordinates to ensure full compliance with MLC regulations.

• Maintain strict accountability for issued master keys and other operational keys.

• Report any loss or damage of ship’s property to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper without delay.

• Ensure all lost and found items are reported and handled swiftly in accordance with company procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Supervisory Experience: Demonstrated experience in supervisory or managerial roles within the maritime or hospitality sectors, showcasing the capability to lead, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff toward achieving excellence.

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; knowledge of Russian, Turkish, or Arabic is a plus for effective communication with guests, staff, and other departments.

• Team Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and manage housekeeping teams, ensuring high cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction.

• Organizational Skills: Outstanding organizational abilities to coordinate and manage housekeeping operations effectively, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, promoting clear communication with housekeeping staff, other onboard departments, and management.

• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving capabilities to tackle challenges, resolve issues, and ensure the efficient operation of the housekeeping department.

• Customer Service Orientation: A customer-centric approach with the ability to enhance the guest experience through efficient housekeeping services.
