This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
β’ Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialized food service equipment.
β’ Exhibit your mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and capacity to interpret diagrams and schematics.
β’ Accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, encompassing cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialized food service equipment.
β’ Liaise with manufacturers as necessary to assist in diagnoses and parts identification.
β’ Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while onsite.
β’ Install all parts requested by the customer promptly and professionally, adhering to company policy.
β’ Promote and suggest additional services offered by Smart Care to customers as needed.
β’ Generate precise and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
β’ Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.
β’ Keep a tidy and organized service vehicle, along with accurate parts and tool inventory.
β’ Maintain productivity levels in alignment with company standards.
β’ High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
β’ Valid driverβs license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
β’ Willingness and capability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.
β’ Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.
β’ Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA).
β’ Experience in commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair.
β’ Self-driven with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal direct supervision.
β’ On-the-job training with access to on-demand technical support, alongside ongoing formal hands-on and classroom training at our National Training Kitchen.
β’ Professional CFESA certifications with opportunities for advancement.
