
Hospital and Physician Services Specialist β PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Acts as a primary support resource for radiologists and serves as a functional intermediary between hospital personnel and medical staff from various facilities.
β’ Assists the radiologists with daily operations, including order entry and Clario-related issues, ensuring effective communication and timely follow-up on urgent or critical findings.
β’ Engages with patients and referrers in the role of WithinHealth Care Coordinator, supporting the lung screening program and managing the radiologist hotline.
β’ Plays a vital and consistent role in resolving problems as they arise.
β’ Reports directly to the Director of Hospital & Teleradiology Operations.
β’ Work Hours - PRN (As Needed)
β’ Education: MINIMUM: High School Graduate or equivalent.
β’ Experience: At least one year of experience in a medical environment, with preference given to candidates who have prior experience in a Radiology practice.
β’ Licensure: None
β’ Upholds standards of professional care while ensuring patient confidentiality.
β’ Completes tasks and responsibilities in accordance with the policies and procedures of Raleigh Radiology.
β’ Executes job duties safely, efficiently, and professionally.
β’ Documents and reports relevant information in the Radiology Information System.
β’ Provides assistance to patients, referral coordinators, referring physicians, and colleagues.
β’ Engages in the economical use of supplies.
β’ Maintains a clean, organized, and professional workspace, prioritizing the protection of confidential information.
β’ Ensures that equipment is consistently maintained and ready for use.
β’ Collaborates with coworkers and physicians to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of care.
β’ Establishes and fosters open communication.
β’ Assists with or initiates emergency measures for sudden adverse events when necessary.
β’ Ensures a clean, safe, and well-equipped environment for both patients and staff.
β’ Regularly collaborates with other team members both within and outside the department to fulfill job responsibilities, while also supporting others in their tasks; serves as a team player and a role model for colleagues, consistently exhibiting traits of courtesy, compassion, helpfulness, and respect; conducts oneself in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, cooperative, sensitive, respectful, and kind when interacting with team members, visitors, the public, and all employees.
β’ Undertakes additional duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Is adequately trained and can demonstrate competent usage of the Radiology Information System (RIS), telephone system, scanners/printers, and other equipment pertinent to specific job functions.
