Hospice Triage RN – Part Time, Weekend Only

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct telephone triage for hospice patients and their families.

• Evaluate patient conditions and identify suitable next steps.

• Work in collaboration with on-call teams to facilitate care and resources.

• Ensure precise documentation of all interactions and interventions.

• Maintain a calm and professional attitude while managing urgent calls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care is highly preferred.

• Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records (EMR) for call documentation is essential.

• Must be adept at typing documentation and notes in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to manage stress and multitask during calls (minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 per hour on weekends).

• Strong communication and critical thinking abilities are required.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• This position is remote and necessitates consistent attendance, active communication, and reliable internet connectivity throughout all scheduled shifts to ensure prompt patient care coordination.

• Every Weekend Hospice Triage RNs, once trained with their designated team, receive $27 per hour.

• There are numerous opportunities to raise the hourly wage, with potential earnings of up to $30 an hour within the first 6 months of hire.

• All nurses qualify for a $2 shift differential for overnight shifts and a $2 shift differential for weekend shifts (Friday evening, Saturday & Sunday).

• Both part-time and full-time nurses accrue PTO based on the total hours worked (annually).
