Hospice Billing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• The Hospice Billing Specialist is essential in ensuring the financial stability of our hospice facility.

• This role is available for remote work and involves the precise billing of Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and various insurance providers for hospice services.

• Responsible for overseeing room and board billing for inpatient and facility care.

• Prepare and submit claims for hospice services while adhering to Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.

• Accurately process billing claims for Medicare, Medicaid, private payers, and other insurance entities.

• Review patient records to guarantee correct coding and documentation that supports billed services.

• Monitor claims for accuracy and completeness, promptly resolving any discrepancies or issues.

• Follow up on outstanding or denied claims, resubmitting and appealing as necessary.

• Stay updated on changes to Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance billing regulations.

• Manage room and board billing for patients receiving inpatient care.

• Ensure the accurate and timely invoicing of room and board charges.

• Collaborate with the intake or admissions team to confirm patient information.

• Maintain comprehensive records of all billing activities.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Previous experience in hospice billing is essential; experience with Medicare billing is a significant advantage.

• Proficient in billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Strong comprehension of Medicare regulations and guidelines pertinent to hospice billing.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in both data entry and recordkeeping.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and requirements for patient privacy.
