This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Acts as a primary support resource for the Health System, which includes 8 Acute Care Hospitals, all Baptist Outpatient Services (over 50 locations), and all ambulatory surgical centers.
• Manages the tracking and analysis of Physician Delinquency Reports.
• Sends prompt notifications to the Medical Staff regarding their outstanding delinquent medical records and the potential consequences of non-compliance.
• Conducts follow-ups as necessary and informs key Hospital and Medical Staff Leadership about non-compliant physicians to facilitate the enforcement of the Suspension List.
• Prepares reports and visual data for various Medical Record Committee meetings and the Joint Commission.
• Collaborates with the team to achieve both individual and departmental objectives.
• Bachelor's Degree in health information management, Health Services Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Certified Record Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certifications are preferred.
• Experience in medical record functions within an acute care environment.
• Familiarity with the medical record review process to ensure accurate and complete medical records in accordance with CMS and TJC accreditation standards.
• Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis, and presentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to organize work priorities, meet specific objectives under tight deadlines, and pay close attention to details.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external customers.
• Willingness to travel between hospitals to fulfill job responsibilities.
• Must be able to type at a speed of 25 wpm and successfully complete standard filing, Word, and Excel assessments.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering outstanding customer service.
