HIM Cert Coder OP/Out Patient – ED Accounts Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the precise and prompt coding of hospital inpatient, outpatient, and/or professional fee encounters utilizing the correct codes.

• Create methodologies to ensure a coding process that adheres to regulatory agency standards.

• Acts as a subject matter expert for coding systems and compliance guidelines.

• Conducts coding audits for providers and peers as needed.

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

• Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

• Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

• Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-Based (CCS-P) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
