This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Deliver onsite and remote technical guidance to personnel and clients.
• Create job planning documents outlining the work scope through engineering instructions, drawings, and process directives.
• Lead skilled labor engaged in activities at customer locations.
• Diagnose and conduct routine maintenance checks on a diverse array of equipment, including power transformers, switchgear, protection relays, control systems, and motors.
• Resolve electrical issues in substations within wind and solar facilities.
• Carry out administrative tasks such as drafting technical reports, ordering supplies, obtaining quotations, and preparing job completion documents for clients.
• Exercise sound judgment in managing costs effectively.
• Uphold a strong safety mindset at all times.
• High School Diploma / GED.
• Prior experience with High Voltage systems.
• Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures for transformers, relays, breakers, and underground splices.
• Knowledge of switching pad mount transformers and substations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in reading schematics.
• Capability to write and interpret switching orders.
• Required to mentor and train unqualified technicians.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a field service team.
• Safety must remain a top priority.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Flexibility is essential.
• Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SmartSheets.
• Basic Workplace First Aid certification.
