This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Certified Teachers will oversee instructional programs from their home office in Missouri.
• Regular consultations with learning coaches and students will be essential to ensure each child successfully completes their instructional program.
• Timely completion of grading, creation of progress reports, and conducting parent conferences are required.
• The instructional program will be supported through both asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.
• Curriculum review and the development of alternative methods for presenting lessons will be necessary to enhance student understanding, involving direct interaction with students and parents.
• Frequent communication with parents, students, and fellow teachers will be needed to establish and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Responsibilities include scoring assessments, providing feedback on student work, suggesting instructional strategies, monitoring assignment completion, and coaching special projects.
• Collaboration with other teachers is vital to ensure that all students are making successful progress through the program.
• Assistance will be provided to students and parents through alternative strategies and additional help with daily assignments and projects.
• Maintaining up-to-date student records and data is essential, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance records, and logging all student and parent interactions.
• Collaboration with other teachers and staff learning specialists will be necessary to develop alternative enrichment activities and modifications to students’ programs to enhance understanding.
• Management of regional field trips will be required, with efforts to integrate these experiences into the curriculum.
• Participation in the organization and administration of State Testing, including in-person proctoring at various locations across Missouri, will be expected.
• Involvement in student recruiting sessions and other marketing initiatives that necessitate teacher representation is essential.
• Attendance and participation in in-person training sessions and team-building activities scheduled throughout the academic year (locations to be determined) are required.
• Participation in field trips and other community activities designed for families is expected.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Secondary Social Studies in Missouri, aligned with grade level and content area responsibilities.
• Experience with Professional Learning Communities is essential.
• Strong proficiency in technology, particularly with Microsoft OS and MS Office applications, is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• A customer-focused approach is essential.
• A high degree of flexibility is expected.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is required.
• A track record as a team player is essential.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events, which may involve overnight travel, is required.
• Ability to work remotely, if needed, is essential.
• Availability for occasional evening hours to support families is required.
