This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the lead educator and primary instructor across all core subject areas and grade levels.
• Diligently strive to achieve all objectives related to student success and school culture, as well as state-specific academic accountability standards.
• Provide highly effective live lessons through web conferencing tailored to student needs, grounded in research-driven instructional methods.
• Set up courses in the Learning Management System for each subject taught.
• Oversee student progress in asynchronous classes and offer daily feedback and grades for assignments.
• Maintain regular communication with each student.
• Work alongside the Principal to create and distribute Student Progress Reports.
• Frequently analyze student data to inform adjustments in instructional strategies.
• Tailor instruction to accommodate the diverse needs of all students.
• Implement research-supported best practices in both synchronous and asynchronous teaching.
• Foster a joyful, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment for every student.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching methods into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and staff.
• Enforce school-wide cultural expectations and norms within the classroom and beyond.
• Regularly communicate with families about their child's academic and social-emotional development.
• Integrate 21st-century technology skills into everyday classroom activities and collaborative settings.
• Engage in planning and executing non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips, and attend these events in person.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively, respectfully, and humbly with all colleagues.
• Travel annually to support mandatory face-to-face state testing.
• Carry out other assigned duties as needed.
• Possession of a current State teaching license in the relevant subject area.
• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• A minimum of two years of teaching experience is preferred.
• High comfort level in a growth-oriented coaching environment that includes regular observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Capacity to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
• Capability to supervise students in all school environments.
• Must pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience in a multicultural setting is preferred.
