High School Science Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• This role involves collaboration with Alabama Connections Academy.

• Oversee instructional programs.

• Regularly consult with learning coaches and students to ensure the successful completion of the instructional program.

• Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing as directed.

• Attend professional development training provided locally and by the state, focusing on Title III compliance and instruction.

• Complete grading, generate progress reports, and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.

• Enhance the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.

• Achieve proficiency with supplemental programs designed to support English Language Learners in a virtual environment.

• Review curriculum and create alternative strategies for lesson presentation to boost student comprehension.

• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and other educators.

• Collaborate with school leadership to establish and sustain the school’s English Learner Advisory Committee.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the overall K-12 curriculum within the program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the state of Alabama.

• Properly certified to teach Science for High School in Alabama.

• Strong technological proficiency, particularly with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Customer-oriented approach.

• High level of adaptability.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated track record as a team player.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for school meetings, training sessions, marketing, and state testing events (may involve occasional overnight travel).

• Capability to work remotely if required.

• Availability to work some evening hours as needed to support families.

• Must utilize a personal electronic device and an email address for 2-step authentication.
