This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Assist in the instructional program by facilitating asynchronous web conferencing sessions and providing synchronous instruction;
• Timely completion of grading, creation of progress reports, and conducting parent conferences;
• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and fellow educators to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, assess scores, offer feedback on student work, recommend instructional strategies, monitor assignment completion, and guide special projects;
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the overall program curriculum while gaining in-depth knowledge of the specific courses for which you are responsible;
• Evaluate the curriculum and create alternative methods for lesson presentation to enhance student comprehension (engaging directly with students and parents);
• Provide students and parents with alternative strategies and additional support for daily assignments and projects;
• Maintain consistent communication with parents, students, and school staff using both computer and telephone;
• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure all students are progressing successfully through the program, establish a central contact point for parents, and distribute tasks among teachers;
• Keep student records and data current, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance records, and documentation of all student and parent interactions;
• Partner with fellow teachers, team members, and staff to design alternative enrichment activities and adjustments to students’ programs to enhance understanding;
• Collaborate with staff to guarantee that students and families are receiving proper communication, making adequate progress, and achieving set goals;
• Coordinate with other teachers to organize social events and relevant field trips for students;
• Oversee regional field trips and strive to integrate these experiences into the curriculum;
• Create and execute virtual methods for fostering a “school community”;
• Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing as directed;
• Engage in student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives requiring teacher representation;
• Attend field trips and community activities organized for families; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be qualified and certified to teach the relevant subject in Michigan
• Residency in Michigan is required
• Proficient technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Highly organized and punctual

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong history of teamwork
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
• Required travel and attendance at in-person events, including State Testing, throughout the school year as determined by the school.
• Availability for occasional evening hours to support some families as needed
• Capability to work remotely if necessary
