This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Foster student achievement through a well-rounded school counseling program.

• Assist students in achieving academic success, enhancing social and emotional skills, and navigating career and college pathways.

• Guide learners in exploring postsecondary options and implementing strategies for academic success.

• Support students in emotional regulation and the application of interpersonal skills.

• Emphasize college and career preparedness for students and their families.

• Conduct quarterly meetings with all assigned students to evaluate graduation plans and postsecondary choices.

• Provide classroom instruction aligned with student success benchmarks.

• Assess transcripts and academic records.

• Collaborate with educators to create comprehensive four-year graduation strategies.

• Review student schedules for graduation eligibility.

• Assist with course placements, including Advanced Placement and specialized pathways.

• Analyze student data to formulate data-driven intervention plans.

• Offer short-term counseling and referrals for extended support.

• Provide support to teachers, staff, and parents.

• Facilitate standardized testing, parental education, and staff training.

• Advocate for students during IEP and other student-centered meetings.

• Enhance equity, access, achievement, and opportunities for every student.

• Travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and other school-related obligations as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Valid School Counselor certificate.

• Bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of three (3) years of counseling and/or advisement experience.

• School Counselor License.

• Ability to pass the required background check.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based search tools, and database management systems.

• Flexible schedule with the capability to travel as required.

• Capacity to work independently, generally exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours.

• Experience in distance learning environments.

• Master’s degree in school counseling.

• Advanced coursework in counseling and administration.

• Preference for residents of Texas; candidates from neighboring states may also be considered.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
